Player Openings There are limited openings in select age groups for house teams. Please contact the age division coordinator to confirm availability. Coach and Managers Meeting A mandatory coach and manager meeting will be held September 8, 2008 at the Plymouth Cultural Center. Meeting start time is 7:30 p.m. and all teams must send a representative. Refs For scrimmages, each team must schedule and pay for their own refs. Scrimmages will not be reimbursed. For games at PCC or the Pond, contact Tom Mallon (734)326-8198 at least 72 hours in advance. For Yost, Canfield, and Redford refs, contact Matt Ceci (734)658-7087. Fees are as follows for 1 hour games, each referee: Mites, $16 Squirts, $20 Pee Wees, $24 Bantams, $26 Midgets, $30 For games longer than 1 hr, take the rate (for your division), multiply it by the length of the game (ex: Pee Wee Game, 1.5 hr in length = $24* 1.5 = $36 per Official) Financial Statements A financial statement must be turned in with your team's ice payment each month. The statement should be signed by two non-coaching parents from the team. Jersey Orders Jerseys will be ordered by each team through All American Embroidery in Livonia. Travel teams should get a sizing kit from Matt Zink. House teams will receive a kit at the draft skate. Size the jerseys and place your order ASAP in order to get jerseys before your first game. USA Hockey Rules Enforcement All associations have been informed of MAHA and USA Hockey's attempts to follow a stricter rules enforcement interpretation for this season. Coaches and parents should expect to see more penalties during the beginning of the season as players and refs adjust to these guidelines. Coaches and parents are also advised that the Zero Tolerance rules will be strictly enforced and to adjust their behavior accordingly. Suburban Hockey Coaching Club Suburban Hockey is making offering a free coaching club with tools that provide age-specific coaching manuals, drills, informational articles and a question/answer board. House Teams Draft Skates Letters were sent to all pre-registered players for house draft skates. Other players will be called from the wait list as space permits. For any issues regarding a player's registration status, please contact the coordinator for each age group. Travel Teams LCAHL League Registration Travel teams should complete the LCAHL online team registration. Go to LCAHL to access the online form. For payment, enter "Kathy Barile" into the field. Checks will be issued by PCHA for all teams. Coaching Certification Check online at www.usahockey.com to review your coaching levels. You may also register for a coaching clinic online. |
